Michi no Eki Otofuke

Although a road rest stop, it is also a specialty center. As well as cooked beans and fresh bean products, specialties of Otofuke town, and sweets containing Otofuke soy beans are offered. The “Otofuke taste set” contains canned beans and udon produced in Otofuke and is very popular. Not only food, but also wooden crafts and Tokachi stone (obsidian) works are available. On the 2nd floor is a chinese, all you can eat restaurant.

Ra Ra La marche

Fresh vegetables grown by the farmers in Otofuke town are lined up. Otofuke-produced vegetables are the "blessings of the land" grown in nutrient-rich soil brought by the Otofuke river, and directly sold by the farmers.

Kinokko Farmers

Direct sales store of vegetables and flowers in Kino, Otofuke town. The store is busy in the morning, with lively conversations between the producers and buyers. In addition to specialties such as brocolli and spinach, western vegetables (swiss chard, mustard mizuna) and herbs are sold year round. This is the only market in Tokachi that is open throughout the year, and even during winter, spinach and other leafy vegetables are sold.

“Komugibatake” wheat field

Located next to Tokachiga Park, and 10minutes from Tokachigawa Onsen resort. Fields are spread around the shop, main items of the Tokachi field, such as wheat and sugar beet, can be seen growing in front of your eyes. In view of the broadening Hidaka mountains, called the roof of Hokkaido, you can enjoy the original taste of vegetables that transmit the wideness of the Tokachi Plain (taste / freshness) at the farmer’s restaurant serving food with a high degree of safety.

05Otofuke food

Home cooking “Muroji”

“Muroji” means “a peaceful place,” and is a renovated old farmer’s house. It has a nostalgic presence reminding one of the pioneer life.
That age is recreated as much as possible, as can be seen on the white plaster of a past generation, and old furniture from the same period, bringing back old memories. Enjoy hot pot cooking, small dishes, etc., at-home cooking centering on Tokachi food.
